My simple CMMS software for small-scale enterprises
You don’t have to break the bank to get a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
From my experience with various enterprise maintenance systems, there are only a few features that are paramount to having an automated preventive maintenance schedule. This is not to say that other features are of no use, but for small and medium-scale business enterprises, including tertiary institutions, building facilities, automobile shops,, and many more, only the basic features are required for you to hit the ground running with a preventive maintenance program.
I have developed a computerized maintenance management system based on the Microsoft Azure SQL database and Microsoft Access called Square Maintenance System (SMS). Microsoft Azure SQL Database provides uninterrupted access to the data stored in the Azure cloud with over 99.9 % uptime at a low cost. The Azure cloud is one of the most used cloud systems for modern application data storage. Microsoft Access is used to develop the front end. Access is, by no surprise, the cheapest and most common software development framework, as it comes with the Microsoft Office Suite.
The utilization of MS Access makes the application ubiquitous for everyone who has access installed on their computer within the organization, while the seamless integration with Azure allows for multiple users’ data transfers and updates simultaneously, without latency or duplication. Furthermore, MS Access does not require hosting, making it the cheapest framework with seamless access to cloud databases.
To try it out, message me, and I will send it to you.
