The maintenance metrics health check is best used to monitor the work order management system and the effectiveness of the existing maintenance planning activities.

The metrics should be clearly stated, with targets, and explained during the weekly KPI review meeting. These objective metrics must visualize the team’s performance on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.  The picture below shows standardized maintenance metrics for maintenance performance tracking.

This metric must be checked, assessed, and reported to decision-makers. Using measures, indicators, or observations, the effectiveness of the measures must be verified.
